Crocheting is a great way to save money on getting some of the items that you need for yourself or your kids. For me it’s a great way to relax and take my mind off things. However, if you are just trying to learn how to crochet you may notice that, as a parent, you simply do not have time to go to a class because your kids are demanding on your time. This is when you should know why the crochet online classes are a perfect option for the mother to take. Once you know what makes these courses so nice, it will be easy for you to set aside a little bit of time to take these courses.
Is a Crochet Online Class Right for Me?
Typically the classes can be geared towards your skill level. You may not think about this at first, but you will find that when you are using these courses they are going to allow you to have the proper skill level for your skills you may already have. This can be anything from the starting level that you may have never had before, but it could be going from the advanced levels that you would never have imagined that you would have been able to reach before.
Learn with the Best Crochet Online Classes
Generally, the courses will allow you to take them when you have the time to take the course. This makes it quite a bit easier for a parent to take the courses and know they can do it when the kids are taking the nap. However, at the same time the parents are going to have a chance to learn quite a bit during the nap time. That is because these courses are setup to allow for the maximum amount of learning in a short time period.
For example, if you are learning about a specific type of knot or stitch you will find the videos tend to be shorter and very descriptive to make it easier for you to find the stitches you need to take a refresher on at times. Annie’s has tons of online classes to choose from based on skill level, projects, or new stitches you want to learn. I have taken several to boost my skill level. They are very easy to follow and taught by great teachers. They even offer a free preview for most courses.
Here are a few of my favorite beginner crochet online classes:
- Learn to Crochet
- Crochet ER: Fixing Damage & Mistakes
- Learn Yarn Substitutions for Crochet
- Granny Squares: From Simple to Sensational!
- Learn Seaming Techniques for Crochet
- Learn Corner-to-Corner Crochet
Completing Crafts to Boost Your Confidence
You will find the courses that are online will have different craft ideas for you to complete. You may think this is a little odd, but if you are learning how to crochet being able to complete your first project tends to make it easier for you to feel good about yourself and what you are doing. The online courses often provide you with projects that are guided in the videos to help you get the confidence in your skills.
I always get excited about a new project. The crochet online classes make it easier to quickly learn a new stitch or complete a new project. Here are a few of my favorite projects from Annie’s online classes:
- Learn to Crochet Pineapples
- Irish Crochet Made Modern & Easy
- Learn to Crochet Flowers
- Modern Classic Cabled Afghan
- Learn to Bavarian Crochet
- Learn Reversible Crochet
The flowers were my favorite I think. Growing up in a flower shop, I feel like I have always been drawn to flowers. It was nice to have finished something so quickly. I tend to make only afghans so those projects generally take forever to finish.
Get Your Craft On
Finally, having a chance to take a course to learn a new skill is a great thing. However, as a parent you know it can be a challenge to take the courses you need. Kids always seem to need something when you want to get going. To avoid this, you should learn more about why you need to take the crochet online classes. By knowing about why these are perfect for new mothers, it will be easy for them to understand the benefit of the course and know it will help them out tremendously.
